The transient is possibly associated with 6dFJ1555449-244236; a B=17.86 mag galaxy found in the GLADE catalogue. It's located 0.51 S, 3.57 E (1501.9 Kpc) from the galaxy centre. A host distance of 416.9 Mpc(z=0.091) implies a transient M = -18.51.
